That drive the dead abominations could not stop the humies.
The poor necromancer tried everything but his magicks were simply not strong enough today.
The only worries the humans had was when finally his mummies woke up and killed a lineman.
The apothecary worked but with that (semi) security removed the 2-1 lead was still solid but if lady Luck would intervene rudely it could cost the team dearly.
But that did not happen.
The second half saw some flashy plays from both sides but that was merely to satisfy the fans.
The game was in the human bag!

What a complete disaster! I won the toss and elected to kick off, hoping I could force a quick score and win a 2-1 game. The dice had other ideas. And of course, the Hollands contributed. It felt like every other hit was a failed armor check for me, as the KO box was always full and the field was littered with stunned Dreamers.
Tcho-Tcho, my DP skeleton with 15 SPP, was killed in the opening drive. Nightgaunt, a zombie with Block, followed a few turns later. The only good thing that came out of the first half for me was I completed a pass with Yog-Sothoth, Wight, and earned a skill. That turned out to be a double-edged reward, as he aged on the skill roll and picked up another +MA as well as another niggling injury. Alas, we can't afford to cut him with the loss of the 2 minions.
Second half I got the ball and was playing to tie it up and force overtime. I was moving it nicely, including a pass from Azathoth to Nyogtha to put it into the cage, but the lack of players was really hurting my caging attempts. The ball was knocked free, and Nyogtha was knocked out. This was a running joke between the two coaches. I had a chance to get the ball back, but made a series of poor decisions and the AG 4 Blitzer from the Hollands was able to get the ball and run off. In the course of that TD, Yog-Sothoth fell down trying to catch the blitzer and stunned himself. Second kickoff and I made better headway. The mummies were causing casualties, and Ghatanothoa made a break for the endzone. Nyogtha was looking at a Long Bomb, so he took 1 more step forward (gfi) without a reroll, then nailed the pass. TD, Dreamers!
Of course, the Hollands came back and did their own impression of a last ditch heroic score, and the game ended 3-1.
For all my whining, this was a very fun game. But I had some really bad breaks early against a team that was already incredibly strong (+ST blitzer, +AG blitzer, +ST & +AG thrower). Congratulations, Jinxed, on your well-earned victory. I will get my revenge some day :)”
