Two on the trot for the Devourers in a match that saw some truely inspired play from both teams. It started badly for the Ogres when a poor back field pass allowed the Finest to snatch the ball and break. A defensive counter saw the ball handler downed, but a fortunate bounce gave Hickson the chance to run in a TD. However, the Finest took to the rest of the first half without Treeman Big Z due to him being KO'd.

With the heat getting to Varejao, the Devourers shrugged of the temperature. The Ogre counter attack was brutal, with three casualties, including the death of dirty player Gibson and star Wardancer, O'Neal, missing the next match. A rushing attack by Librut made it half way, onlyfor the Goblin to be brought down and KO'd. With every other Goblin off the pitch, it was down to M'Nikov to grab the ball and run with it. A final push for the line required him to dodge past the Finest's defense, which he did on the last turn of the first half to equalise.

Starting the second half, tthe heat subsided and we were subjected to a downpour. Te Wood Elves received only to find themselves on the receiving end of a Devourer Blitz. The Elves tried to retaliate, but were pinned deep in their half. Some uncharacteristic dodging and a failed GFI to get away from the Ogre attacker left the ball in the Finests end zone. The only Ogre able to get to it, Z'Koth, smashed away his marker (badly hurting him in the process), and snatched the ball up greedily for the score.

The Wood Elves retaliated again. This time holding the ball up in deep field, whilst the Ogres attempted to hunt down ball carrier Varejao. The Ogre defence was vicious, but couldn't keep the Elves down long enough. A long pass and then run by Green ended up with the scores tied and not much time left.

However, a bad kikc proved to be the undoing of the Elves. Touchback gave the ball to M'Targ, who needed no invitation, but to run. And he did, only finally being caught up by the Woodd Elf defence in the dying seconds. A desperation blitz only pushed him closer to the line. With seconds on the clock, he smashed aside his marker and crossed the line for the final score of the match
