“SWL Season 34: Premier League - Game 1

Looking at the season in hindsight, despite the lack of casualties, this game is where the rot set in for our season. We should have succesfully navigated the opening blitz, suffering only one injury and then scoring, but instead we tried to stall, and it came back to bite us. The Norse freed up the ball, which we managed to regain, only to fail a handoff at the end. 0-0 at the end of the first half, and a sinking feeling to go with it.

The second half saw a better Vermin effort on defense. We crowded the Norse, who were forced into trying to pass over the top of Kinski, who pulled down a rare Vermin intercept. He handed it to Diesel, who scored. 1-0.
The Norse played a pretty safe drive after that, and we pretty much blew our chances with plays that maybe werent required, looking back. The Norse went in with next to no time remaining, 1-1, and that was all she wrote.
