#2 Descending Winters – Smashed Knee (NI) #7 New Moon – Dead (RIP)
“Crown of Sand qualifier round 2. Handicap against: VIRUS
This game was probably decided by the failed pass (1,1) at the beginning, allowing us to score 1-0 on defence. Penalty tied at the end of 1st half.
2nd half was pretty even on player numbers as Penalty KOs failed to wake-up. We used our ST5 blodge blitzer to carry the ball, and had it more or less safe for 8 turns to secure the victory. Although at the end I had to make a risky 3+ dodge for a blitz, while could have just dodged 3+ to score. As I had no apo I figured it would be better to use another player than the ST5 in case the dodge failed.
The bad use of apothecary continues after round 1, used to cure a BH early in the game just to pay for it later with the death of a blodge lino and a niggling injury on AG5 blitzer. A bit surprised with the cas-count anyway, didn't expect so many from another dark elf team.
Enjoyed the game anyhow, thanks for it lawman!”
