“If you want to see the ULTIMATE Dice-ing watch this replay.
My opponent does not fail a single roll during the entire 1st half despite *Blitzing with his Ogre
*repeatedly 1 dice blocking when it was not necessary
*making several 1 dice blocks when a 2 dice block was available without moving any players
*Picking up the ball in a Tackle Zone AND Throwing it out TWICE and having it succeed INCLUDING a Short Pass Distance where the ball BOUNCED into the Receivers hands
He even won every single kickoff result ROCK (my player), reroll for him, perfect defense for him, reroll for him.
None of that on it's own is nearly so lucky... but the constant drum beat of poor play choices that will not fail even one time is maddening. My opponent only rerolled TWICE the entire game because he never had any need to despite extremely low percentage, highly risky play. I only wish he could have CAS'd out more of my players so that I could have legally conceded the game. But ALAS the only element of a good dicing missing from this game was the casualties.
I regularly failed 2 dice blocks with the Block skill, rolled through rerolls left and right and had 3 crucial rolls that could have helped me turn the game skull or snake eyes on the only turns I had any success. By the end of the 2nd half I started to play poorly myself because it seemed to be the only type of play that would work.
It was SO FRUSTRATING that I couldn't even hold in my frustration during the game and even wrote a match report (which I almost NEVER do).
Anyway... b69... grats on the win... sorry for being such a whiny baby all game. Like I said in game this has been my luck for WAY TOO MANY games in a row. Your good fortune on top of it made things even worse.
So you have your first dice-ing win on fumbbl. There will be more on both sides of the dice.
Do yourself a favor and read the stickies in the tactics and strategy forum and your skills will improve greatly. You really did make ALOT of poor choices in game. Those threads contain countless years of collective wisdom on HOW TO play BloodBowl and how to actually be good at it.”
