Bit of a dicing for Sighcrow, which looked ominous from the first turn when the chaos team pocketed the ref.
An interception and a few of the dreaded double snake-eyes followed and the Gladewalkers were facing a loss, 1-0 down at the end of the first half.
Things didn't improve in the second half, as the chaos team blockaded the bottom half of the pitch and caged the ballcarrier to the endzone. 2-0.
With four turns left for the game, the elves were looking for quick scores, or at least a satisfying consolation. But a failed (and rr'd) pickup from the elves' underperforming designated thrower left the door open for the chaos team to gather and carry the ball to safety for a win through to the third round.
Undead next, and, with the Count likely to show his face, the chaosites will likely be facing a hard test. Nonetheless, five casualties (in total) and another clean sheet should hopefully keep the foul gods' favour for now...
