“The horror run commences, coming into this game knowing there are another 2 cashed up teams after this one, the boys were a little nervous and it showed, with the infamous Count taking part and some arcane assistance on the sideline we'll be hard pressed.

What we needed was a good early advantage, after a failed blitz turnover early in the Vamps first turn the chance was there to capitalise, however a failure to make inroads on the thralls internal organs the match played out fairly evenly. It was a comedy of mediocrity for a while which turn overs from both teams, but eventually the Vamps scampered away for the 1st half score.

The second half started a bit more violently but before things got rolling a telling fireball blast was not adequately countered and again the Vamps escaped to the endzone, along the way putting a Mummy into retirement with a largely inconsequential block.

Well played Erik, I knew it would be tough, but I am looking forward to our next clash, hopefully with less expenditure at the start. :)
