“A critical misclick cost me what would otherwise have been an unlikely tie.
My noble opponent was the recipient of a bountiful Nuffle harvest. Aside from his block dice, which were outrageous, he managed a number of dubious actions without having to pay for them. Among the highlights were four fouls, three with the eye, and never losing a player. Indeed he was caught by the ref twice, but successfully argued both times. He misclicked with his troll to dodge into my tackle zone, requiring a 6, and he made it. Finally, he blocked at even and also at less and never once fell (though, one time it was due to my colossal blunder).
Aside from his fortunate block dice, the injuries rolls also bounced heavily in his favor. Of course, that's to be expected when you've got AV 7 vs AV 9, but four injuries including two RIPs in one turn, and when I spent much of the first half on the ground, and most of the second running, is pretty absurd.
As if it weren't enough that I had to swim against the tide of his overwhelming dice, Nuffle decided to kneecap me. During his one major dice screwage (failing to pick up the ball with 3+ re-rollable), I manage to get the ball and am two GFITs to score. Unfortunately I had double skulled earlier in the turn with my storm vermin, so I had no re-roll and, regular as clockwork, my first GFIT failed and badly injured me to boot.
Even in the face of overwhelming dice bludgeoning, I still should have managed a tie, but I selected the wrong die when he blocked me at less, sending me down and giving him a GFIT to score, which of course he made.
Sadly, I have nobody except myself to blame for the 2-1 loss, when it should have been a 1-1 tie if I'd just clicked the right icon. However, all things considered, with ChrisMcCoy's awesome rolls, it could have been much worse. While I would obviously prefer the 1-1 tie or 2-1 win it should have been, I'll take a 1-2 loss and the death of an unskilled linerat.”
