“Antipodal Regional Shield Mar '10 round 1
This game got rescheduled multiple times because my opponent didn't show up for the first scheduled game and then kept changing the time. Then the tournament nearly got canceled because barely any of the 1st round games had been played the day before the 1st deadline. This should have been a forfeit for me, but I hate forfeits and would rather play and lose than advance on a forfeit.
I didn't stop the humans scoring in the 1st half, but managed to get a T8 score myself to tie it up. Got the ball in the 2nd half, caged it up well and advanced down the field. My opponent's only chance to stop the score was a 1-die blitz. He rolled a skull, rerolled into a POW. I still had a slim chance of getting a score on T8 but failed to knock the catcher over so the ball was still covered. Then in a miraculous series of events, the catcher dodges, grabs the ball, hands off to a linemen (needing 2 GFIs) who runs upfield (using 1 GFI) and throws a pass into coverage. I fail the INT roll, the blitzer catches in traffic, dodges away and scores on T8. I was sick, but congratulated my opponent anyway.
I'm really starting to get annoyed by people who can't show up for scheduled games.
Edit: I'll give KJG mad props, his 2nd half turn 8 score was a thing of beauty. It's worth watching the replay just to see a TD that spanned nearly the entire pitch. I'm still sick thinking about it, but it was spectacular.

Obviously my last td was very lucky, and I was very pleased about it, but the main thing in this game was that you didn't get the early cas's you needed to capitalise on your bash-advantage. Because let's face it, your t8 td in first half was also lucky, because you needed that touchback which is very unlikely with my using a kicker.
