“UI XI Second Round of the Crimson Qualifier

What a game, what a game. The skaven got an incredible oneturner (M11, sprint, blodge and dauntless) and on top of that some good bashing power. So we went all in: Lord and wizard again. And this time the wizard had his use.

The start couldn't be better. The oneturner had a little pain, so didn't want to play, but the apo fixed it. Wanted to get the oneturner on the field so had to bash a little and that went quite ok. Some BHs on the skaven and none on the vampires. Could score after a bit of trouble (with the strip ball GR), so 1-0 at half time. Well, if it wasn't for the oneturner ofcourse. Blitz, pow, gfi, gfi and TD! So 1-1.

And then the skaven started to hit. Niggle on the LoS, let him go. Dead on the LoS and - quite a mistake in hindsight - I used the apo ... Just a rookie, but I hate still having my apo in the end while someone got hurt. :)
From then on it was a very tense game. Lots of injuries, only 5 players left for me quite soon, but still HG's and blitzes on the ballcarrier. The wizard even did his job on the oneturner, but nothing helped. The skaven were stalling it out. But because the skaven only had 7 players left themselves I got a blitz on the ballcarrier again and a pow saved me. In the end of the second half we both had chances to win it with a pass, but we failed.

In OT we both didn't have much rr's or players, but the skaven got the ball. I had some small chances, but all in all the skaven could stall it out quite easily. But as I said, the skaven didn't have that much players either so I got a blitz on the ballcarrier that was standing at the EZ. I pushed him over so I had 3 turns left to make the equalizer. Without rr's it was quite hard, but the vampires managed to do it! 2-2 and the second coin toss that I won today. Gooo, vampires, in B Minor and in UI.
