The chaos team's hired wizard lined up to throw a lightning bolt, only for the chaos team coach to realise he'd been conned. The wizard's best efforts managed a limited light show - a crowd pleaser, but nothing strong enough to knock the ball carrier down.

However, a brutal half-time talk saw the chaos team come out determined to grind out a win. It went to overtime after Vox Deus carried the ball in the endzone in the dying seconds of the game. The Mean Hay Whackers made it a tough end to normal time, however, after knocking the ball loose with scant seconds on the clock.
With Vox Deus receiving in OT, it looked like the Whackers were up against it. Things looked worse when the humans lost two players in quick succession. However, despite only 7 players remaining, the Whackers forced the chaos team to score early.
With four turns left on the clock, the Whackers had a shot at tying the game and going to a coin-toss for the win. But fate played a hand, with a failed block leaving the humans with no players close enough to score at the finish.
