An unlikely outcome for the Lebowskis in this matchup. With the intention to sign up for the TR132 B Minor, I decided to play one more game to raise my TR from 127 as close to 132 as I could. When I did get paired up with the Gladiators, I thought I had made a mistake, as no doubt I expected to end up with multiple casualties, MNGs and maybe even worse. Somehow that didn't happen though.

The dwarves just didn't seem to be able to outbash the rats this game. In fact they suffered a serious injury early on in the game, which was promptly treated by the team physician. The skaven lost ball ownership the first half, but mainly because of their exceptional resilience, the Gladiators were unable to take advantage of this. One failed dodge of a Storm Vermin did end up in a Serious Injury MNG for the Lebowskis.

The second half seemed to start off in favor of the dwarves. They were granted an extra reroll and got a touchback, allowing them to quickly form a cage around the ball carrier. But again, they were unable to break through the ranks of the skaven. In fact they suffered two more Serious Injuries and a KO on a Troll Slayer and a Blitzer. Not even the thick headed dwarves were able to keep their heads cool in this situation and a frustrated handoff resulted in the rodents taking possession of the ball. The dwarves managed to knock out one Gutter Runner late in the game, but they realized that at that point the game was really over as their short legs would never be able to catch up with the speedy gutter runner in possession of the ball.

It was a good match, though the armour rolls were frustrating. It appears we threw 88 blocks but the rats 42 turned out to cause a lot more damage. Since we were running with only 11 players, his early success in injury department paved the way for him to get some good number advantage and pressure me into being risky. Well played mate!
