“Fulham lined up to face the Milan Gladiators in what looked initially to be a fairly even match.

Milan put together a nice passage of play early in the first half, eventually breaking through the Fulham defence to take the score to 1-0. Fulham's reply was swift, with Duff receiving the ball from the kick-off and running down the wing to take the score to 1-1.

By the time the second half kicked off, Milan had lost a few players to injury and to add to their woes luck was going against them. Fulham picked up the ball and built a controlled attack whilst the few remaining Milan players struggled to bring any defence to bear, with Fulham scoring to take the game to 2-1 at the final whistle.
