“Yet another example of what I have to deal with every single time I play, and why I've come to hate this game with a burning passion.
Despite having more strength, more frenzy, more dodge, equal MB, and equal guard, the block dice are, as usual, completely in favor of my opponent. In one auspicious turn PC gets three injuries. I never manage better than a KO. My apothocary fails. He never has to use his. My turn ends three times on 1/36s. Until the very end when he's just trying to arrange a meaningless score, his turns never end involuntarily.
So, in short, with the advantage in strength I'm completely outblocked, my apothocary fails, and I lose a four skill Black Orc. Although it may be tempting to look at PC's coach rating and assume some magic strategy won the day for him (and certainly, PC is an excellent coach), any observer who views the replay will see an endless cavalcade of beneficial dice for him and indifferent results for me.
I would not hate this game so much were it not for the fact that this seems to happen almost every time. Despite a clear strength advantage, I lose the fighting due to injury dice. It's time for another FUMBBL break, because one more game of this BS is going to send me over the edge.
Best of luck to PC in the rest of the tournament. If his dice hold like they did today, he's a shoe in. ”
