#2 Eternally Cursed II – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#2 Eternally Cursed II – Smashed Knee (NI)
Set the tone and prepared the elves for the reality that is the season ahead. Probably needed it as their heads weren't in it right from the kickoff where Ecclesiarchal was done in with a lustily hopeful blow against a dodger and his mates subsequently quickly pulled a very noobish mistake of their own.

Another failed apoth in turn two just reaffirmed their disrespect of medicine that we've seen over the past two seasons. Another two fails and we'll be on track for our average seasonal three fingered salute to such a disreputably soft institution (at least in the world of blood bowl).

After such a start, they pulled back and played defensively, hoping that they might hold off the casualties long enough to pull back a 1-0 deficit in the second half. Alas, there's not much you can do when nuffle's having a right belly laugh and Morbid Prescience showed the absolutely worst timing to go needlessly sprawling possibly in the team's history. After that there was not much point to forcing the issue - why they even tried, only for the pleasure of risking more casualties has even the coach a bit baffled.

In the China Shop that is this pro elf team, Failure was the Minotaur.

The Seekers began cautiously, hoping to expose a weakness in the Nurgle defence and puncture through. Unfortunately, the first Seeker blitz failed to penetrate and it all went downhill from there. Forcing some recievers through the rotter line on the second turn, the elf thrower failed to anticipate just how foul the rotters actually were and choked his throw. Barely needing the invitation the rotters proceeded to curbstomp the thrower, and plough all the elves from the vicinity of the ball.

At this point, the elves realized they were lacking the tools to deal with this pustulent juggernaut and began to play a delaying game of hit and run trying to limit the Nurgle scoring. Unfortunately Failure was having none of that, and managed to waltz the ball into the endzone another three times while the Elfs looked on (usually from a prone position) helplessly.

Twahnlows

Morbid Prescience III - 3 Votes
For faceplanting at the worst possible time and enabling the second touchdown.

Netherborn's flight - 2 Votes
For delivering the first touchdown in a neatly wrapped little package.

Ecclesiarchal Ministries III - 1 Vote
Good run near the end, but got smashed into the field giving up the ball for the fourth and final touchdown.
