“Our 10 dark elves face silver's almost-new chaos dwarves. They have managed to skillup their bull centaur and buy an apo in that one game.

We start very well, getting a badly hurt on a dwarf blocker with our DP on T1 to make it 10 v 10 for the rest of the game. They engage our line heavily, getting two hobgobs right by the ball carrier, who we knock over and move onwards. Their centaur blitzes the ball carrier, but can only push him back and we get the ball through to their endzone on T3. We stall things out - quite safely by the last couple of turns - and make it 1-0 on T8.

They foul twice in a row before half time- getting a hobgoblin sent off without much result. Our lone KO wakes up so we have 10 vs 9 as we kick off.

They immediately even things out with a KO on the LOS and then rush through into our half with a lone hobgob on T2. We blitz him over and stand two players over the ball - but they knock one over and the elflike hobgob dodges back, grabs the ball in a tackle zone and dodges away again. A quick dodge blitz sorts that out and now we pass the ball back to the middle of the field. Their centaur again blitzes over the ball carrier, but a nice 1d blitz from our blitzer knocks him over and he grabs the ball and runs into their half. They can't get a player back even to mark him and he makes it 2-0 on T5.

With 2 players in the KO box refusing to get up we have 8 vs 9 now. They blitz their centaur deep into our half and then go for a pass to a hobgob on the line who runs forwards to try and hand off to the centaur- tripping on a GFI! We steal the ball with a blitzer and move forwards, getting our DP sent off KO'ing a dwarf at one point. They blitz with 4 dice vs the ball carrier but can only push him and a 1d blitz later sees him sprint upfield again. They can't reach him and he makes it a personal hattrick on T16.
