“We start with the ball and advance into their half in strength at first- but woeful 2d blocks even with RRs burnt see us hand over turnovers and have 2 of our NWs KO'd by turn 3.
They take advantage of the gap and blitz through, knocking over the ball carrier and stealing the ball with a blitzer. Our pestigor blitzes right back up, badly hurting their blitzer and standing over the ball. We also manage to niggle a lineman on the same turn - nice!
There's a bit of back and forth with neither team getting the upper hand until T6 when they MNG a pestigor (regen fail) with a 1d block and then steal the ball with a blitzer. T7 and they fail a 1d blitz to try and break him free, and we have a slight attempt at the touchdown on T8, but it comes to nothing.
3/3 of our KOs stay asleep (including 2 nurgle warriors) while 1/2 of theirs wakes up so we have just 7 vs 8 as we kick off for the second half... doesn't look very likely now!
And in fact their first 3 blocks produce a KO on a rotter and a BH for our final Nurgle Warrior (regen fail). Game over!
We try desperately to even the numbers with a foul, but get sent off in return for a stun. They badly hurt a rotter to leave us just 3 players on the pitch and then score with absolute ease.
3/4 of our KO box stays asleep so we get to set up 4(!) players for the kick off vs 9. Predictably, we get overrun and they stall out the last 3 turns before making it 2-0 on their last one.
As a slight consolation on our final turn we manage to niggle one lineman and KILL another \o/
