“A nice, quiet game for a change for the Bombers. Only one cas one each side, both BH's, neither apo needed. True, towards the end of the 2nd half when the Nobz were "racing" for the endzone with their troll ball-carrier, I had 3/4 of my team ko'd on the sideline, but there's nothing permanent about that. Fortunately for the Bombers, his troll was too stupid to move for two turns, leaving him too far from the endzone even with sprinting; unfortunately, he finally figured out to drop the ball into the hands of a teammate who could indeed run the rest of the way on the last play of the game.
It looked like a close game from the start. The bombers received the kickoff, passed to the blodging Mustang, who dodged around defenders and a blitzing ogre teammate to score just 4 turns into the game. It only took the other 4 turns of the half for the Nobz to punch it in themselves, due at least in part to poor decision making in blocking assignments in the Bomber's turn 8.
Second half opening kick is bad, ends up in the hands of the enemy troll, playing center at the LOS. Nice blocking pattern at the line helped spring him to start moving down the left sideline, where the Bombers did their best to cage him up, utilizing their highly skilled guarding blitzers to full advantage, along with Hercules, the legendary lineman with 4 Str and a heart even stronger! However, the last best chance to knock over the ball-carrier got capsized when an opposing lineman flying tackled my blitzing blitzer, stunning him and stopping all hope of a tie, other than hoping in the sheer stupidity of the troll, which almost (but not quite) worked.
Nothing permanent this game, hired a replacement lineman to fill in in those games Hercules' niggling injury keeps him from playing, both throwers have sure hands to pick up the darn kickoffs...this was the kind of game the Bombers needed a few games ago! But now we're ready to pound down on our future opponents...”
