“Our 10 player chaos pact face shimin's amazons. Egads, that is a lot of dodge for a blockless and tackleless team to face- we're going to have to pray for POWs here!
They get a very nice start, KO'ing two marauders on turn 1 so it's 8 vs 11, and are able to use this to great advantage and force their way into our half. On T3 we pick both-down on a 3d blitz from our ogre, managing to badly hurt one of their linewomen, before they take the lead without ever having the ball threatened.
They kick off with a perfect defence but we are still able to KO one of them to make it 9vs9 as we collect the ball. They charge 4 players deep into our half after the ball carrier, and we mess up a nice chance to get the ball to a marauder and into their half by failing to declare the pass action! Luckily we get an instant turnover when one of the zons fails a dodge and we can run the ball through into their half.
On T7 our mino manages to get a skull/both-down/both-down 3d blitz that MNGs himself and we use the apo to keep him in the game. T8 after surviving a 1d blitz our dark elf is able to 2d blitz his way into space and then into the endzone, making it 1-1 at half time!
Our KO returns while theirs sleeps on so we have 10 vs 9. Our ogre immediately proves his usefulness, scoring a MNG that their apo cannot improve upon, while our mino gets his second both-down 3d block in a row! The girls surround him for a gang foul but his thick skull means he can shrug off the insistent stomping.
We have tried to move the ball up the far side but a nice turn of dodging gets the girls across and the ball knocked free. A turn later an amazon blitzer has the ball and fortunately our 2d blitz rerolled finds that crucial POW for a badly hurt! The same turn our ogre scores a -AGI serious injury and we stand over the ball. They clear a little space and go for the ball - tripping up on a GFI! We recover it with our dark elf and move for the end zone, with the zons reduced to a desperate -2d blitz that comes to nothing.
We can stall out the last couple of turns without problems with only 5 zons on the pitch, though they do manage to throw a marauder out of bounds for a badly hurt before we score to make it 2-1.
