“Didn't think my team would do well against the Knights, i remembered our leaguematch in which i lost even when they could only play one mummy thnxs to a prematch handicap. Necromantic just does seem too vulnerable against a better bash team which wins the atrition war normally against me.
When the Knights started to receive the first half i decided on a slow tactic which would hopefully spare my positional players and save them for when i got the ball after a TD or in the second half. It worked ok, they scored without too much difficulty but only one ghoul was MNG and I even had a few turns left in the first half to even the score. Unfortunately this didnt work out well, his div.tacling and sidestepping ghouls were a pain in the ass as usual and i missed an important pass, lucky enough he couldnt score the 2-0 either..
Second half I received and this would have to be my chance, some KO's came in and slowly his numbers dwindled while I made my way to the endzone, the TD would have to be scored in the 8th, after this two important chances for him to get some KO's back and the all-deciding overtime!
Overtime I got lucky again by winning the toss and receiving and Wraith could only field 9 players! There was not so much what could go wrong here anymore and when even a few more of his players left the field the game was decided, 2-1 for Necro Winter in the 8th turn of OT !! It was a good tense game in which I was not a complete stranger to lady luck (esp. the regen rolls of the Knights were lousy!) On to the final! (and ty for the game, Wraith, and srry i'm so slow :))
