“Our chaos pact face Lord_Ulric's chaos team; we have a slight advantage in TV and we also win +1 FAME for the first time! Both teams have 12 players and an apo - should be good.
We receive the kick and get a gratifying first block of the game - triple POW! We then attempt to skillup a marauder on 5 spps, but the noob overthrows his 1 square pass by a further 3 squares. Idiot! We collect with our dark elf on T2 as the enemy are closing in - but we can't quite stop them from getting a max range blitz in with a beastman. He knocks over our dark elf but fortunately our mino catches the scattered ball!
He blitzes forwards and down one sideline with a gang of marauders shielding his way - and the same turn our ogre -AGI injures a beastman (their apo slaps some salve on him and throws him roughly into the reserves box) and we score a KO. They counter with a badly hurt on a marauder while we run the mino right up next to their endzone. They can't get players free to endanger the ball so we happily stall out a couple of turns, scoring a MNG on a beastman on T5.
But some nice moves sees them manage a 1d dodge blitz from a CW to knock over the mino - the ball bounces into the crowd who handily throw it up to the center of their endzone. We hastily pick it up with a marauder and score on T7 with a certain amount of relief!
With just 2 turns til half time and no RRs left they have to rush into our half to have any chance of scoring - and fail the single dodge necessary to get a beastman into range!
HALF TIME: our single KO wakes up while their two don't, so it's 11 kicking off to 9.
We make things worse on our first turn when we score a KO with our mino, and on T2 a dodging beastman trips over and MNGs himself! They are down to 7 players and we have their chaos warrior holding the ball totally surrounded! That doesn't stop him 1d blitzing some space and dodging away - nice! We spend a 2nd reroll getting 4 dice on him and still can't knock him over! Finally on T4 we manage it and our dark elf steals the ball - but an untimely bonehead on our ogre means he's totally defenceless. Fortunately their blitz can only find double both-down and we push him through on the following turn. They go for a dodge blitz with a CW, but he trips up on his GFI and we're able to hand the ball to a marauder to score: 2-0!
Their 2 KOs snooze on quite happily (do they have blankets in there??) as we kick off and roll a blitz! Our mino charges forwards and throws himself on the ground in front of his blitz target with double skulls, badly hurting himself! But the numbers disadvantage is too great for the chaos team as they can't even get the ball before the half ends, though we are unable to score a third either.
