“Underworld game 2, vs madvig's brand new chaos pact team. They have all 3 big guys which could be painful but just 2 RRs which could mean turnovers to take advantage of. With new icons now in both sides look very cool on the pitch!
We receive the kick off and move straight into their half with the ball, managing to KO their troll and skaven on the way. They pile in players, using up both their rerolls by T3, but are unable to knock the ball free. Meanwhile we keep filling their KO box up - adding their dark elf and a marauder, before handing off to a gobbo in the corner. They go for a double GFI dodge blitz with a marauder... double skulls! The gobbo happily scampers in to make it 1-0 on T6.
All six KOs wake up and they have three turns to try and counterscore- pushing through well with the ball on T7. We're able to dodge backwards and 2d blitz over the marauder with the ball however, and on their final turn their ogre manages to badly hurt himself vs our troll with a both-down block! We have also managed to get a gobbo sent off on our first (weak) foul of the game.
With our KO failing to return it's 10 v 10 as we kick off. They immediately KO a linerat, collect the ball that has landed in their endzone, and crowd 5 players around our troll for a group hug (a stun). We rush our entire team through to make a screen between their players and the ball, but their gobbo calmly dodges through everyone to handoff to a waiting marauder who legs it down towards our endzone - leaving us totally out of position!
We rush players back, but they are still able to blitz through and make it 1-1 on T3, badly hurting a gobbo on the way. 2/2 of our KOs fail to wake up so now we have 8 vs 10. We fail a hand off on our first turn to get the ball down one side, but luckily we get an early turnover from a failed 2d block (they are out of rerolls again) and we run it downfield on T4. Our troll KILLs a marauder that same turn and their apo saves him, while they get a 2d blitz in to knock clear the ball. Our mighty blow stormvermin suddenly turns green and swells in size - too much warpstone? In any case this coach likes what it does: 3 blocks in 3 turns result in a KILL, another KILL and a badly hurt! Meanwhile the pact are failing every dice roll they can make and we score the winner on our final turn!
