“The second game of the WIL season saw the Miners facing rookie Lizardmen.
The first half saw the Miners drive slowly down the field and, after a few potential minor scares, stall out the half at the line for 1-0. With little time left, the Lizards would only manage a few final blocks before the half ended.
The second half saw the Lizards drive, but where they had started the first half as 10, now they were only 9. A deep kick left the Lizards struggling for position as the Miners overwhelmed them. In short order the Lizards had been reduced to just 5 players and the Miners had secured the ball and with it a 2-0 win.
On paper the Miners had a very clear advantage, but the reality can be somewhat different, so the Miners were happy to come away with the win, whilst leaving Reptilicious in good shape to confront our rivals.
Thanks for the game tsjep, best of luck with the rest of the season.”
