Week 2
Ouch! This was a brutal match from the start. The rats got 2 handicaps (I'm the Greatest, Palmed Coin) and opted to receive. First kickoff resulted in a pitch invasion that knocked down about 6 rats and only 1 zombie. The Crusaders were able to get the ball and score, though Loup-Garou was badly hurt and done for the game early. Second kick-off resulted in a blitz, and the Crusaders were able to score again in the 1st half, with the first kill against the Jersey Rat Gang. The rats did get 2 more casualties, both by D'Brickashaw Ferguson (1 BH on Udolpho that was regenerated, and the -AV on a zombie that wasn't), but Otranto took Amontillado's Revenge for him and killed D'Brickashaw on a last block in the 2nd half. The apo had already been used earlier but failed to save Damien Woody. Vladimir Ducasse joined the Crusaders in death, but did not gain the VP. This is the first zombe out of 4 recruited that did not earn a VP in their 'rebirth' game.
The Crusader's VP went to Ambrosio the Mad Monk who didn't even set foot on the field the entire game. He got into an argument with Ulfhednar Hexenverr before the game started and the two refused to be on the field together (I Am The Greatest). Ambrosio was heard after the game to say, 'So the mutt got a CAS and a TD. Woohoo! I would have gotten the entire larson if I'd been out there'. Ulfhednar's only response upon hearing these comments from his team mate was, 'Woof!'
Thanks for the game Crimson, and I'm sorry about the rough time you had of it. Rat armor just wasn't holding up tonight. Good luck on the season.
