“Although only 64,000 tickets were sold for this Round 5 matchup between old rivals Carlton and Zen, almost an entire stand was reserved for fellow SWL coaches. Even this generous seating arrangement was not sufficient however, and many were still turned away at the gates.
Zen received in the first and started to muscle their way down the flank. Carlton were resolute in defence, however, and league superstar Duke Snakefield eventually managed to knock the ball free and speed away from the tight pack of dwarves that had developed.
Easily outpacing his shorter opponents with his godlike speed, the Duke found himself confronted by a whole stand of his enemies as he ran to the zone. Taking his time as the Adepts plodded after him pathetically, he took the opportunity to show them all his goods. Ahem... yes anyway. There wasn't enough time for Zen to reply before the halftime whistle, and Carlton were looking good for the win receiving in the second.
A bad kick from the Stunties resulted in an easy break down the flank for the Duke, supported by United's catchers who were beginning to wonder why they bothered playing at all.
Zen had hired a wizard, forcing the Duke to steer clear of the sidelines so as not to be unduly blasted. Frustrated by his wily ways, the Dwarven wizard was forced to unleash his powers upon the hapless Mr. Swan, who took it like the man that he is.
Hobgoblins raced back and Duke was quickly surrounded by the scum. They tackled him to the ground and took possession of the ball. The rest of the half would see a desperate battle for control that would run the length of the pitch, as Zen slowly but surely shuffled the ball to their endzone, equalising just before the final siren.
Carlton ended their 3rd year here with their best game all Season. A draw with equal casualties. Not enough, of course, to stop the mighty United from toppling off of the lofty perch.
Division 1 should be a milk run for the former champions though, and Mr. Swan is confident that Season 5 will see his boys once more where they belong.

Good game Flo. Sorry about the wizard; I still think we should have just reloaded it. Anyway, well played as always.”
