Game 2

The handicaps were lousy (Virus - no effect and Doom & Gloom which helped some). Not as brutal as game 1, but a loss instead of a tie. Only lost 1 player to CAS (death to a 2 SPP lineman) so that was an improvement. And I managed to inflict 2 casualties, including a ST 4 chaos dwarf who will miss his next game. I won the toss and elected to receive. I was able to score in T6, thanks to Warrenne de Luna and his AG 4 Sure Handed pickup, then handoff to Keith MacBulluck. I thought I could defend for 3 turns, but the Sledges were too good (and too numerous) and Fem Spiritpacer managed to avoid my T8 blitz when Georgiy the Bland fell on his face and KO'd himself. He missed the entire 2nd half. In the second half I kicked deep and a hobgoblin had to spend a reroll on the pickup so the Sledges didn't handoff right away. I managed to get a few hits and put a man on the ball-carrier, but he handed off to Fem again and it was pretty much over. I rallied my troops and picked on hobgoblins and a lone dwarf the rest of the half. I got a T8 kickoff which I used to hit hobgoblins and the Troll, then tried a short pass with the Earl of Campbello but MacBulluck dropped the ball. Probably because he was too busy admiring the fact that he knocked a troll on its @$$.
