In the WIL's first all-woodelf premier league game, Pine Valley's finest reminded the upstart Woodies on Vacation who was here first. Not pretty, but a lucky win is still a win.

The first half kept the scoreboard operator busy, with 2 scores a piece. The Cosmonauts elected to receive. Their next decision was more questionable, offering up a free blitz on the ball carrier deep in their own backfield. Woodies on Vacation took advantage to go 1-0 up, throwing an un-woodelf foul in the process. A more straightforward two-move drive levelled the scores. Then Banks of Ohio made a trademarked Dodgy McDodge Dodge move, one that would have brought Juff out in a cold sweat, to set up an unlikely go ahead score for the Cosmonauts. And with a blitz to start off the final drive of the half, it was looking like Pine Valley could finish the half with an unlikely two-score lead. But leaping, strip-balling wardancers can ruin the best-laid plans and instead it was 2-2 end of the half.

In contrast to the free-flowing first half, the second half degenerated into a orc-like melee. But that's no concern when the Cosmonauts scored the winning TD. Woodies on Vacation came up one GFI short of a one-turn equaliser, but the Cosmonauts have taken note of the potential of MA10 catchers so post-match skilled up one of their own catchers accordingly ready for DFTS.
