“The Homeboys came into this game with just 12 players, the least they've had all season, but needing only a draw to seal the title.

The Homeboys were surrouned by an air of doom and gloom as they won the toss and elected to recive first.

They drew the convent defence into a committed covering as the homeboys made to drive down one sideline.

However this was but a bluff, as, leaving a few players to tie up the majority of the convent defence, they promptly and efficiently swapped to drive up the now empty opposite sideline.

A kick in the head left Sister Brightstone with no more part to play in the match, however, ironically both initial foulers from each side were caught and sent off by the ref, as the homeboys stalled the majority of the half out with minmal blocking, scoring in T7

This gave the convent an opportunity to retaliate, but when all their runners anywhere near range got pushed away or knocked over, it was clear there was to be no return score.

The second half was a grind by the convent, who got lucky on the armour rolls, leaving half the homeboys floundering in the KO box, and, despite the homeboys being just a 3+ with RR away from stealling the ball at one point early in the half, the convent ground them down for a T8 score.

The Homeboys relaxed then, as they knew the title was theirs, and went about the business of being awesome, with a quick pass to finish.
