“The fifth match of the WIL season saw the miners face off against Ogres.

The Ogres started the game, but when one of their number failed to pickup the ball, the Miners were able to bring pressure to bear. A wild melee ensued, but it was the Miners who eventually came away with the ball and with it 1-0 as the half came to a close.

The second half saw the Ogres down on numbers and the Miners were able to score for 2-0, despite some problems with the Break Tackle Ogres. The rest of the game saw the Ogres struggle to make progress, but the Miners were also unable to score, so it remained 2-0.
