“WIL match 6, as the season end drew nearer, the Miners were to face Necromantics.
Things start badly for the Miners, with one Dwarf taking off (Wasn't me) and another 2 refusing to take the field together (Greatest), taking the starting line up to 12. In the game itself things quickly got worse, as the Miners failed to deal with the icy pitch and injury left them with 11. When a Wolf fell prone near Gorf he was unable to control himself as he SI'd the Wolf with his boot, but got sent off, leaving 10.
Despite the falling numbers, there was a chance at the end of the half to halt the Necro attack, but the ice once more came into play and the strip ball runner failed the GFI to make the block, leaving the half at 0-1.
The second half was much closer then the first, with neither side making much headway in the middle of the pitch until turn 5. The miners managed to down a few of the Necro's and made a gap to run through, which the Necro's were unable to recover from, as the Miners went on for 1-1.
Only one game remains in the season and a victory would be enough to lift the title for the Miners, but not if they played like they did today.
Thanks for the game JRooney and good luck with the rest of the season, and beyond.”
