“Pact vs pact of similar ratings. Jesperius' team have skipped block mostly so instead have a lot more claw than us (3 vs 0) but both teams have the same amount of MB. Should be interesting.
We receive first and push forwards quite ineffectually, with the defense looking more dangerous. On T4 we switch sides with a pass from our dark elf and run deep into their half, but a rookie marauder can make the double GFI 1d blitz to knock ours over. We run in players around the ball, but so do they and it's their +STR dark elf who gets it in the end. Meanwhile our mino tries to break tackle away from two of their big guys and rolls double 1s MNGing himself!
We still haven't recovered the ball by T8 and when it doesn't look likely we decide to throw their mino into the crowd instead of trying for the TD on our last turn. They counter by claw/MB'ing over our ogre for a BH.
Down to our rookie troll now vs their full squad... this could be painful! They push forwards slowly and carefully, KO'ing one of our players every turn, and with this huge player advantage steamrolling forwards without any trouble, though on T6 we do manage to -AV their MB/claw/JU marauder (apo would kill him), before they make it 1-0.
Our troll wakes up so we have a chance at a draw with a TTM attempt, and a riot gives us an extra turn to line it up, letting us pick up with our dark elf and spread the rolls across two turns. Our gobbo eats the reroll landing successfully and dodges through their ogre's legs to make it 1-1!!
