“A great game. The Dark Elves were handing out the pain early, with CAS and KO aplenty. The Reptiles were worried (the ones still on the park).
A failed pick-up in the defensive endzone saw the ball shoot around between the pitch and the crowd until it landed in Ilzttyrr's hands. By then the Reptiles were undermanned and Ilzttyrr kicked some fallen heads on his way to the score.
Calyptotis III collected the ball from the kickoff and used the sideline well, running behind a screen of Sauri, bot a double down blitz spilled the ball loose. Anomalopus Jnr was close on hand though and was able to pick up the ball and score.
1-1 at the half, and Thin Lizzie nearly fouled to death but for the intervention of the apoth.
The second half began with a bang. Drizvrae found space deep behind the Reptiles line and received a pass for the second score.
The reptiles fans had had enough and took the ref in hand. This perhaps was the turning point. The Sauri found the confidence to lay some blocks, including Primordius' near fatal attack on some dirty elf (sorry - forgot). Anomalopus ran a mazy run, dodging past tackles and riding out blocks without falling until he could finally dodge free and score his second for the match.
despite desperate pass attempts by both sides in the final turns neither side could break the deadlock.
T votes:
3 votes: Valaste, who was effective as a ball carrier and as a blocker.
2 votes: Ilzttyrr, whose fouls removed some valuable reptiles from the game and who scored the first TD
1 vote: Wodhriir, who used his skills to clear the skinks off the pitch.”
