We receive first and the going is quite slow against the much tougher nurgle, though we do manage to KO a rotter and MNG a pestigor (regens) with the saw, before running the ball deep into their half with our pogo... until he double 1s a GFI attempt!
They rush players back, hassling the ball, and on T5 put in a +1 foul that badly hurts our chainsaw. We burn up the apo to save him since we have a bribe to bring him back. However we remember right after that there's a bug that sends off secret weapons even on the bench... so this was a waste of our apo!
We score on T7 just in the nick of time as our players are getting totally overwhelmed. We save our bribe letting the saw get sent off and have also taken an MNG and a BH. They have 2 turns left and an unfortunate scatter gives them a touchback, but they neglect to watch the clock and don't move forwards fast enough to score before half time! In fact they end the half with a skull block vs a troll that sees a NW badly hurt w/ regen fail.
2/2 KOs fail to wake up so we now have just 10 vs 11 as we kick off. They rush down one sideline after a friendly scatter + high kick, using their beast to tie up 3 goblins in the center. T2 and they hand over to the beastman nearest the endzone, using their RR, and he just needs 1 GFI to score... but trips up! Our pogoer dodges back to grab it, but on T3 they knock him over, then dodge and make the pick up in a TZ to make it 1-1!
Our bribe is strangely used now to bring the chainsaw back into the game - what the?! They get a perfect defence to mess up our first turn, though the saw does BH one of their block pestigors. The next turn we burst through with our pogoer and the ball, and despite using their last reroll they can't knock him over and on T5 he runs right down to the endzone but chooses not to score. They dodge a rotter after him, but he trips up on his GFI to blitz him and we can rush gobbos back now. T7 and they give up chasing the ball, and we take the win on T16.
