Endless Hunger was riding high after the lucky premier, but tougher opposition awaited in the 2nd round in Pestilencerz, who also walked through round 1 unharmed. The nurglings lost a dirty player due to a niggle, but the handicaps for Endless Hunger turned out to be less than impressive. (Extra Training + Palmed Coin.)
Endless Hunger got a bad start in the match and suffered a string of injuries, but where at times able to break through seemingly hopeless situations to put the Pestilencerz to the test. The nurglings kept a dominant position throughout the entire match though, much thanks to the amazing Master of Pus, who sent out half the squig hunter team and scored an impressive 6 casualties.
To a lesser extent Endless Hunger had a key player in Kleva, who kept up a valiant defense and even brought down the two beasts a couple of times.
The match went to OT and despite playing 6 vs 11 players Endless Hunger actually had a turn where they looked like they could shock their way to a TD, but reality caught up with them and the Pestilencerz could box the remaining players in and walk in a comfortable TD in T8.
Despite losing in round 2 the Endless Hunger squad can be pleased about their effort. No key players were lost and a few more emerging stars were born. Kleva' has been monumental and the new and exciting squig hopper Grak da Headhunta seems to have a very bright future!
Congrats to the win, brain, and good luck in the tournament!”
