“Gobbos vs gunslinger's chaos pact. They have a pile of inducements, getting a free apo + babe + hiring Zzargh Madeye purely for his block/tackle skills, though at least his blunderbuss means we only have to suffer him for a single drive.
We kick, and they KO a troll and a gobbo straight away while caging up the ball very strongly - wary of my +STR +AGI gobbo's ability to charge through the line. We fail to endanger the ball at all and they are throwing more gobbos into the KO box, while our saw has failed to anything more than a stun.
T4 and we finally manage to MNG a marauder with our troll while also getting goblins towards the ball carrier. When the ogre standing guard over him boneheads he decides it's time to score and runs in the TD! Zzhargh and our chainsaw are now sent off.
Our troll sleeps on and we have just 10 vs their 11 for the last 4 turns of the half. We manage to KO two and then take advantage of their lack of rerolls to dash through and equalise on T8.
1-1 but one troll is still asleep while their KOs are all back. They kick it right into the hands of I Hit Stuff our block-troll on the LOS who looks a bit bemused by it. T2 and they get assists around and their troll blitzes him over, but he stands right back up, punches their gobbo into the KO box, and then our super gobbo darts through to steal the ball. They rush back and we are in no position to stall so we take the lead on T4.
Free bribes that neither team had noticed pop up with the option to smuggle our secret weapons back on the pitch... giving us the saw but a 1 stopping their block-tackle dorf's return!
But it doesn't exactly make a difference- his first attempt at a saw blitz is a double 1 on a GFI and he's badly hurt! And the gobbo we tried to saw coolly steps up and badly hurts our block-troll with a foul.. ouch! The same turn they badly hurt two other gobbos and KO another and suddenly we have just 6 goblins left on the pitch... With this overwhelming superiority we cannot stop them and they make it 2-2 on the final turn of the game.
