“WIL Round 6 vs spubbbba's humies. We need this win to almost ensure promotion so we have spent some of our cashpile on the count. We also get two handicaps- bonehead for their star blitzer and secret drugs pushing the count to a ludicrous STR6.
We start poorly, getting our only DP sent off on T1 stunning a lineman. The ball is safe however, and we push down one side on T3, with most of their team on the other side gang fouling our rookie mummy into the KO box. We have KO'2 two linemen and the count BHs a guard blitzer while we hand off to a rookie ghoul by their endzone.
We then stall out a couple of turns til T6 when a nice set of chain pushes lets them get a blitzer in range of the ghoul, but fortunately his 1d blitz can't break the ball free and we opt to score the following turn under ever increasing pressure. This gives them 2 turns to counterattack before half time.
Their catcher drops the catch on their first turn, and their thrower fails the pickup in 1 TZ on the second turn and the half time whistle blows.
Our mummy is back at last while a lineman remains in their KO box so they have only 10 as we kick for the 2nd half. They quickly even things out with a BH foul vs our guard/tackle wight (regens), and then pull back with the ball. Our rookie mummy gets some SPP at last, niggling a guard lineman and they use their apo to save him.
They try and pass the ball forwards at last, and again their catcher drops it. We rush players up and around it, and they quickly crowdpush a wight with their final reroll. Our rookie ghoul grabs the ball with the two STR6s standing by him, but they do have 10 vs our 9 and defend tenaciously, finally knocking him over with a 1d blitz on T6. We recover and hand it off to the count as a more secure ball carrier, who they can't trouble. T16 and we try and handoff to a ghoul for a skillup TD but he drops the catch.
