#9 Cape Town – Broken Ribs (MNG) #9 Cape Town – Serious Concussion (-AV) #13 Sao Paulo – Dead (RIP)
“We started this on off by mauling the humans. With great luck on our side and none on the humans', we dominated the first half, going up 2-0, though losing a few players near the end.
Second half, the humans tore into us and controlled the ball, but a 1db Strip managed to put it on the ground, and a gutter-to-gutter pass got it away and behind the humans' line. The Sabercatz had an easy 2db on the ball, but chose instead to try to kill out AG5 gutter (the one with Daunt and SB who got the ball away), and gave us a free TD. 3-0
The rest of the way was quick stabs to get the ball away and withdrawing, as the humans mounted a (too) late comeback. Our 6 remaining players offered little resistance as the humans scored twice, but with an early focus on fouling (with eye, without DP, 1 cas in 5 fouls) over scoring, the Sabercatz had dug themselves a hole they couldn't escape. 3-2 final
GG Witherstench. Next time, leave the ball in the hands of the thrower (who has Sure Hands) until you're ready to score, and worry more about getting/protecting the ball than fouling. You could have beaten me 2-1 in this one, I think, despite the awful dice the first 4-5 turns.”
