“Our orcs are out again vs DatMonsta's humans of almost identical rating - a classic racial matchup.

After retiring 3 players last game we're a bit low on numbers, fielding only two blitzers and without a thrower. We kick first and some nice moves by the humans sees them score in two turns without any trouble at all.

We collect the kick with our gobbo (recently and temporarily promoted to ball carrier instead of benchwarmer) and put in our first foul of the game, badly hurting some rookie linefodder. The following turn a black orc KILLS a blitzer, and they have to save him with their apo, while we run the ball right up to their endzone.

We stall out a couple of turns, beating down almost every human player til T7 when they manage a nice series of dodges and blitz our gobbo... into the endzone! 1-1 but at least there's no more stalling!

We get a turn each of punching each other to no avail and we set up 11 vs 11 again for the 2nd half... and the humans start with a blitz! They rush players through after the deep kick but fortunately our blitzer at the back recovers it and we can take advantage of an early turnover on T2 to run it to the half way line - scoring two BHs on the way.

They try and defend but atrocious rolls are preventing them, including a boneheaded ogre wasting their blitz two turns in a row, and we get the ball into their half. We then try to hand off to a rookie black orc, who drops the ball two turns in a row. Fortunately he makes the pickup on T7 and nips back to the endzone.. but a 4+ 3+ dodge from their stand firm blitzer parks him nicely by our ballcarrier. We need a pow from a 2d blitz... but can't get it even with our reroll and the black orc then fails the 4+ dodge!
