Handicaps against (1): Extra Training

Clearly the lizards prepared hard for this match, while the undead Dreamers spent too much time dreaming about winning and not executing. A horrible first half saw star player Nyogtha killed on a foul by Scamp, the DP double-niggled skink who shouldn't have played this game! Without any assists, he put a boot into Nyogtha that he'll never forget. My dice were pretty bad, even my opponent commented on it. However, I did have a man advantage going into the 2nd half and was able to score in 4 turns. It was tougher than it should have been considering the man advantage, but the lizards wouldn't quit. I was gambling that I could get the ball back and score with the time remaining, but the Sneaky reptiles had other ideas. First they knocked down my tackling Wight, Abhoth, then Scamp made another appearance and put a boot into him. This time he had 3 assists, got the RIP, and my regen failed. I managed to knock the ball loose twice, but both times it got a good bounce (once from a push on Scamp who made a 6 to catch it in traffic) and I was playing back on my heels the rest of the game. I was forced to make a risky blitz to stop the score and failed the very first dodge I attempted. A skink ran it in and that was game.

This one hurt in so many ways, from 2 dead players and 1 MNG (2 failed regens out of 4 possible tries), to very poor KO rolls (1 out of 4, then 1 out of 3, then 1 out of 2), and just not being able to accomplish anything even with an abundance of rerolls. This probably means the end of the Dreamers' chances in the Spectre Valley Open this month. Only 1 CAS, a RIP by the King in Yellow, which mossbeard was able to apothecary successfully. Wally the Wall was hit by a rock, so the Dreamers' fans had the same number of CAS as the players did. Not good. Terrible money for the gate, but at least we didn't lose FF.
