When the rats in the stands Got the Ref things looked bad for the Reptiles. some good blocking got them in a position to hit the ball-carrier and spill the ball and hopes were raised when it looked well protected by three scaled players. Enter Versarius to dance through TZs beyond count, pick-up, dance away and pass a LB to open the field and set up the first score.

The Reptiles hit back with a TD down the right flank to Scincadae, but to be honest the rats seemed more interested in blood than in the ball and the fouls finally found their mark BHing Thin Lizzy at the end of the first half while Scincadae stalled.

The second half was a see-saw affair. Anomplopus looked through early only to discover his fellow skinks had left a gap for Veronica Michales to get through and strip the ball. Versarius repeated the dose from the first half, another mazy run through tacklers, pick up and long bomb to the open side caused de je vu, but The Reptiles had learnt the lesson earlier. They covered back and though the ball was in dispute and changed hands several times it was with Eremius at the start of the last turn. A hand-off to Bartleia, some nervous (and unncessary) GFIs and he made a quick pass to Anomalopus who had stayed forward with range of the score.
