Hired Ramtut III, he earned his money. This was another fun game that I didn't really have any expectations for. I thought my opponent would hire Varag Ghoulchewer (or maybe Ripper Bolgrut) but he had forgotten that the OCCS committee was allowing Star Players in this year's Bloodweiser Cup. He won the toss and elected to receive. I got the ball away from him early and scored, mainly due to some unlucky dice and a lot of reroll uses. When his Thrower tried to dodge, he failed and couldn't reroll it. The next kickoff I was able to put enough pressure on the Red Herring orcs to slow em down until Cyrus-Havoc's dice cooled off late in the half. One of his DPs had been sent off early and he still had the eye. I knocked the ball loose, pushed a few orcs into the crowd, got a CAS or two from blocking, then turned my own DP loose. I got some good CAS's in the last 2 turns and it helped in the 2nd half. The 2nd half started off with the ball in my own endzone and I booted it out when I tried to pick it up the first time. Fortunately, it landed near my skellies and I was finally able to secure it. Then I just marched down the field, letting mummies hit anything in the way. Cyrus got close a few times, but he always had to use his blitz to open the cage and I was able to get away each time. Scored in T8, then took my lumps on the LOS for 1 turn. The game ended with a failed throw by 1 orc lineman to another trying for a skill-up. The throw was good, but the catch failed even with a reroll :( Boooo! Oh well, at least it kept him from hitting anyone else, but I think he was out of good blocks anyway.
Thanks for the game, Cyrus. Hope to face you again sometime. Today nuffle blessed me. Next time he'll probably shine on you.
