“Inducements Against Me: Brick Farth (5 ST Ogre) & Max Spleenripper (Chainsaw)
Legends won the coin toss and chose to receive. Plague of the Forgotten hired a couple Star Players to aid them in the game against the much stronger Dark Elf team. Brick Farth was neutralized in the first half when D'Angelo's "Choke of Doom" put him to sleep. Max Spleenripper answered D'Angelo's challenge when his chainsaw seriously injured (MNG) the Legends team Captain, Emeyin. Unfortunately, this backfired on the Nurgles as it seemed to anger the Druchii team.
Lazarus and Lucretia sent a couple Nurgles off the pitch until only five PotF players were left on the field. The Dark Elves quickly overwhelmed the remaining players and D'Angelo repeatedly "Choked" Max while the chainsaw freak lay on the ground. Max proved to be a resilient player as the best D'Angelo could do was stun him.
Linken would throw Kitana a quick pass and she would run in the touchdown to end the first half.
PotF received in the second half and the rain continued to pour. The Pestigor assigned to pick up the ball dropped it leaving his team in a difficult position. Legends rushed into the Nurgle backfield and applied heavy pressure on the ball. The Pestigor managed to get the ball and he was caged up immediately. Undaunted, the Dark Elves rushed the cage and it collapsed on the ensuing turn. The ballcarrier was sacked and the ball fumbled. It would lay on the ground with neither team getting a handle on it.
With the time running low the Dark Elves finally got the upper hand. Brick Farth really laid an egg for the Nurgle forces as he just stood at midfield for the majority of the second half. Perhaps, he was still feeling the effects of the "Choke of Doom?" Despite the Big Guy's difficulties, Coach Beckstown ordered him to charge the Dark Elf ballcarrier. It was no surprise to anyone when the Ogre fell just inches from the Dark Elf. Cyric would step over the giant's body and walk into the end zone for their second touchdown to end the game.
