Brutal match with a failed apo for amused and turn 8 death foul by me. In my defence i thought it was turn 7 tbh (moron) but also i needed to thin the ranks as a win this game could assure promotion. The lads ain't worried about sticking the boot in for a last place playoff, let alone top place!

A difficult attempt at a td for the Birds came off with some nice dice, rather frustrating when as the defending coach you have forced your opponent into a massive cage after changing his direction of attack 3 times only to see 3 dodges in multiple tackle zones and gfi's without a fail... not only that but to add insult to injury, it began raining just to make a td in 3 turns even harder! Much as should be expected, the thrower fumbbled a pickup and stalled the attack, forcing a scrambling defence to ensure we didn't go down another td. All safe though and a new half beckoned.

Agility 5 Diaby'olical took the lead as the weather worsened and carried the ball all the way from just outside United td zone and sauntered in the score in 4 turns. Almost came unstuck though as the Birds transformed into elves and made over a dozen dodges to put up a fight at the finish, but not enough and we were tied at 1-1.

The lads setup for a crack at the score while after his first turn of the restart, it was obvious amused was going for the draw. The lads wouldn't have any of that and encircled the ball carrier's defence, slowly wearing them down to create an opening. The attack failed to knock him down that turn tho and he made his escape. The plan was simple... amused looked to throw the ball downfield and end any chance of a win but Gork would have none of it and he fudged the throw at his feet!

A simple blitz would get the ball free of tackle zones leaving Giggsie to throw for the win but no rerolls, wet pitch and gfi's involved meant little hope. Gork again smiled though and United came home with their own unlikely td to bring the points home!

No skill-ups but enough gold for the important 3rd reroll and almost assured promotion... bring on Darkpool and lets make it certain :D”
