“A close game, and at first it appeared it would be a barn burner. The elves took 2 turns to score; the ladies took 3. Elves took another 2; the ladies finished the half scoring on the last turn. Halftime score: 2-2.
The ladies took the 2nd half kickoff, and 3 turns later scored yet again. Here's where things became interesting: a lucky kick caused the ball to land in the far bottom corner, where only a single elf was near, but 3 ladies could reach in 2 turns. Some lucky dodging got more elves in the area, but that's where the elven luck ended. Multiple times my opponent rolled double-skulls on blocks, and with him being understrength to begin the game it allowed my ladies to gang up on his guys continuously.
The ball got knocked out of player's hands multiple times to change hands, only to get knocked back next turn. Finally, an elven catcher desperate to get it out tried a frantic pass to the center of the field. The amazons had a lineman within scoring range; they had their thrower recover the ball, merely had to make a pass and it'd be 4-2. But she decided to gfi a couple steps to make the pass easier, and tripped over the 50 yard line, losing the ball for an elf to recover.
We were unable to knock said elf over in our last effort to score, so instead we surrounded him with 8 lovely lasses. A very lucky double-dice block where I chose (between pow and pow/dodge) sprung him, but one flaw in his plans--a blitzer can't pass or handoff the ball after his hit! The score stayed the same as time ran out, and the appreciative fans cheered their newest heroine, Cherrie, who scored twice in her debut performance. She's already received numerous requests for marriage, and it's a sure thing she'll have a number of suitors present to cheer her on next game.”
