It is a sad day when not even the Gods can spot a ruse by none other than Coach Asperon Thorn. Once again, the Head Coach of the Coldstone Cold Stones showed how fiendishly clever he can be, in the true Dark Elf tradition.

"WE WILL SAC'FICE YOUZ LVES TO KHORNE" screamed Faahkg right before the match. But, by the smirk on Asperon's face, regular attendees knew that he had something planned.

The Blood Freaks recieved the first kick off, and started to slowly pound their way up the field. When it was time for the ColdStone Defense to answer, Star Witch Elf Stalagtite pulled out a huge jagged knife, and it appeared that Asperon's plan was to simply stab the chaos team, not the kind of tricks that we have come to expect from Asperon Thorn.

As Stalagtite ran forward the unexpected happened, she plunged the knife into her own chest, "OH KHORNE, ACCEPT MY SACRIFICE, AND GIVE MY TEAM VICTORY." With a wave of his hand Asperon stayed the Apothecary from running out to her. As the stretcher bearers brought her into the dugout, there was no knife wound, just a broken rib.

Yet it seemed the damage was done, whether you believe that Khorne came down and blessed the Dark Elves, or that the Chaos team was simply so shocked and demorilized by being showed up by elves, in devotion to thier god, the game looked very one sided from this point on.

After Stalagtite's dramatic display, the Blood Freaks could no longer do anything other than shove the elves around, while the Cold Stones managed to throw Beastman, Minotaur, and Chaos Warrior, alike, to the turf. There was no surprise when the elves were able deftly slipp by the Chaos team, but when they managed to outpower the team as well, one could only stare at how the Cold Stones were toying the the Blood Freaks. Twice the Cold Stones passed up an opportunity to score, in favor of humiliating the Blood Freaks even more.

Angered by continual taunting by the Elves, the Blood Freaks recovered the ball, did an elfish pass/handover manuever and scored very close to the end of the half, putting the first score up on the board. All 3 of the Freak fans went nuts.

The Coldstones, as a demonstration, returned the favor by throwing a deep pass to Crime MockGranite, covered by two defenders, who then made 3 nimble dodges to tie the score in the closing seconds of the half. Now it was the Coldstone fan's turn to go nuts, and the resulting riot went well into the second half.

Asperon Thorn, ever the devious schemer, saw his opportunity to sow more confusion into the Choas ranks, and laid out the situation for the Freaks. "Well, Boob Freaks, You now only have the second half of the second half to score."

Before the Chaos team could finish pondering that one, the damage was done. The Cold Stones had scored again, running up the sideline and tossing a quick pass to SzeSz Jagged for the Touchdown. The first contribution the SzeSz has made in the three games she has been on the team. With the lead in hand, and only minutes before the end of regulation, things looked very bad for the Freaks.

A last minute desperate attempt to score by the Blood Freaks, only resulted in another score by the Cold Stones, and a Badly Hurt Steegh.

"Obviously, [the Blood Freaks] need to do more to impress thier 'god'." said Asperon Thorn. "If they hadn't done so much to fall from his graces, he wouldn't have been so susceptible to Stalagtite. . .She has always been a devote follower of many religions, and as long as she is on the Cold Stones, opponents shouldn't expect to get any 'devine intervention'. Or mortal intervention, for that matter."
