#10 Qweert Shadowstab – Broken Ribs (MNG)
It was a glorious day for Bloodbowl as the Terrors hosted their first game of the season. The Guttersnipers showed up eager to show off their speed and try to dodge any crippling injuries.

The starting kick was a huge success for the Snipers, with the ball landing deep in the back corner of the Terror's half. Fumbling the ball as he tried to collect it, Cathedral Dumping Eyewitness showed the first signs of his bad day. Snipers sprinted past the harder hitting Rotters in an attempt to reach the ball. Making ammends to his ways, Eyewitness picked the ball up and ran into a hurriedly formed cage. The Terror's mascot Collaterlie Sisters showed her fearsome prowess and smashed the leg of the nearest skaven lineman, although he managed to land a lucky punch as she did so.

Sniper stormvermin Swiftfist shouted for support, and as it arrived he launched a furious attack on Eyewitness, seriously injuring him and setting the ball free. Sniper lineman Drainweller grabbed the ball and ran off with it beore tripping over his own feet. It was successfully collected by the Terror's Valerie Sinatra, who threw the ball on to Martin Craste. Craste had his horns pulled back by a skaven as he tried the catch, and it once again spilled to the floor.

Fierce fighting erupted around the ball with neither side sure where it would end up. The gutter runner Shortclaw dodged unnoticed from the scrum with the ball in hand, just as his counterpart dashed alone to the Terror's touchline. The crowd held their breath, and Shortclaw's throw sailed to Pinkfoot, who was unprepared and dropped the catch. The Terrors regrouped and set about charging up the field in the last remaining seconds of the half. In their efforts to get the ball to safety, the Terror's beast was left surrounded by Skaven players. Never a team to accept a square go where help is available, more Snipers piled in to claim revenge for their injured teammate. Snaz Ironspike delivered a bone shuddering punch to Sisters, knocking her unconscious. It was a blow she failed to recover from and this swung the game in the Sniper's favour. The skaven rearranged their lines of defence, leaving no way through for the Terrors before the whistle signalling the end of the half.

It was with some surprise that the Snipers arrived on the pitch for the second half with more players than the Terrors. Taking full advantage of this, the Snipers quickly passed to Pinkfoot and formed a cage around the runner after kick off. It was quickly bogged down with Terror players, leaving Pinkfoot little option but to back out again and look for an opening elsewhere.

The Terror's couldn't capitalise on their fearsome reputation as their blocks failed time and again to inflict any kind of injuries on the Snipers. The Snipers fought back and Pinkfoot saw an opening. He handed the ball off to Swiftfist, who couldn't hold on to it despite being in open field with only a few paces to run to the touchline. Beastwoman Rosie May took her love of nature to new levels, smearing her face in the grass instead of picking up the ball as her coach screamed at her. Pinkoot dodged past her teammates to grab the ball, jumped back into the cage and again handed the ball to Swiftist, who grabbed it with both hands. The Terror's chased as Pinkfoot ran toward their line, but there was little they could do to stop him. 1-0 to the Guttersnipers. Unimpressed, the Terror fans threw rocks on to the pitch, knocking out the influential Sniper playmaker Pinkfoot.

A swift kickoff was picked with zeal by the Beastman Brant, who made an impressive pass to Martin Caste. Caste made a fantastic run up the right wing but ran out of breath before the Sniper's touchline. Realising he had left himself unsupported by his teammates, a swarm of brown fur overran Caste, knocking him down and the ball tumbled from his fingers. There was no time left for a counterattack; the Snipers had to protect the ball with all their might. Caste snarled in a last ditch attempt to grab the ball, but as he rose to his feet the surrounding Sniper horde brought him back down again. The referee had seen enough; he blew full time and the travelling support chittered a cheer as the Snipers claimed victory.
