We had a chance to actually keep the game close despite having nearly all my blitzers and my ogre ko'd, bh'd, si'd at the same time. Our lone score came on a dazzling reverse where I was stacked to the left side, and surrounded soon after by tons of defenders. Mustang cut back from the sideline, handed it off to Talon, who raced up and short-passed to Sentry on the far side of the pitch, all by his lonesome, who then waltzed backwards into the endzone.

Very nearly had a second score at the end of the first half, but my lineman tripped trying to dodge past his skink defender. His third score came when he got a lucky kickoff blitz, just destroying my throwers in the backfield and being there with a skink to catch the kick on its way down, then refusing to be knocked over despite three shots at it, dodging his way to the clinching score. The ensuing kickoff we advanced the ball like we could've before the blitz, and woulda scored if time hadn't run out. Stupid blitz.

All in all, a very rough game, but by an honorable opponent who didn't take cheap shots for free casualties. (Of course, he didn't need to, he was getting them anyway...) When we're bandaged up from this game, we'll demand a rematch!”
