“Team 6 Fathers won the coin toss and chose to receive. They began to ground and pound Fight Gone Bad from the start. Many Guard specialists made it difficult for the Norsemen to counter attack. However, FGB was able to put enough pressure on their opponents to force a score midway through the first half.
FGB received with plenty of time left on the clock to mount an offensive drive. Things didn't start well, when Menasor couldn't take down his Dwarf and ended up exposed. Grandfather, the Minotaur, in his single lone play of the game charged Menasor and badly hurt him. Coach Formengil was heard saying, "All is forgiven now my dear, Mino." In hindsight he may want to take back that quote as Grandfather laid a huge egg the rest of the way.
FGB's morale dropped like a rock when they saw the mighty Menasor hauled off on a stretcher. Tarrant was killed by Stonefoot on the following block. Things started to look grim for the Norse as they began to lose the battle on the front lines and both Bull Centaurs deep in their backfield.
Six Fathers got a hold of the ball briefly but the Hobgoblin was taken down. Unfortunately the ball bounced right into a Bull Centaurs hands. All that was left was a hand off but his fellow Bull dropped the ball that could have put the game away. Still, there was an opening for FGB to make a desperation play. Grant picked up the ball in a tackle zone, dodged away, and tried to go for a pass to an open teammate. The Berserker stumbled as he tried to get closer and in a freak accident just died. No apparent injuries were suffered and it still remains unknown as how he departed this world. His death would put an exclamation put to the end of the first half.
FGB received in the second half and the Wishmaster yelled for someone on his team to step up. Konan would answer the call for the first time ever and take out two Chaos Dwarves. Surrel handled the ball and remained cool under pressure even when a Bull Centaur was right at his face. Drade would knock the Centaur away and Surrel would rush up the left side of the field. The Bull would fail to dodge away from the Berserker and end his team's turn early. This was all FGB needed to take control of the half.
Finally FGB got their bash and brawl style going. They tallied four casualties in the second half and just dominated the Chaos Dwarves for the majority of it. The Bull Centaurs were able to make a play at the end but it was too little too late. Surrel would pick up the ball in the end zone on the last turn of the game to tie a hard fought match.
