“The Cup qualifying round saw Fulham face off against Burningham, for a place in the main draw.

The first half could not have started better for Fulham, the ref deciding they could do no wrong. After a short while 4 of the Chaos players were Badly Hurt and Fulham had run the ball in for 1-0. However the ref had lost his watch in the confusion and the extra time given allowed Burningham an unexpected equaliser for 1-1 at the break.

After the break Burningham launched another attack up the wing, and with Fulham unable to stop them, took the score to 1-2. Fulham kicked off, but Burningham were swiftly on the attack again, but in their eagerness to get forward Fulham were able to take advantage on the break, making the score 2-2 and taking the game in to overtime.

Overtime started with Burningham controlling the early play, but after a few tackles had flown in, it was Fulham who emerged with the ball, scoring for 3-2 and qualifying for the Cup proper.
