The game started early, and spirits were high. Having prepared by poisoning the rat cheese and trained extra hard, my goblins were all excited to play their first Major. Having flopped out in their last tournaments (2xXFL and 1xTour), and dodged almost every match since then, we felt that today would be a great day for the goblin race.
The game started nice, with an apropriate first turn foul, to give us the upper hand. However not having played in a while, Spinky got all excited and scored a fast touchdown without even considering stalling. For the first time having more spectators watching the game, than just my mom, we pulled together and managed to keep the rats away from our Endzone the rest of the first half.
In the second half, the rats managed to score fast and somewhat easy. Seems like my goblins had wasted the break at halftime by stuffing themself with hotdogs. This might explain the sploosh sound Thinky made when he hit the dirt after an optimistic gfi. Sadly this gfi also turned the game to the rats advantage, they snapped up the ball, and managed to get it past all my small and biguns. And that was it. Even my finally attempts at a 1-turner failed as Morg 'n' Thorg still hat hotdogs grease on his fingers.
It was a fun and exciting game, and far from easy for either of the teams.

Good luck in the rest of the Cup.”
